While exploring my neighbor’s kitchen utensils, I found an object that immediately caught my attention
A device that transforms us into sommeliers in the blink of an eye and with no effort? Of course, that piques curiosity!
What a relief! This gadget promises to remove corks, whether made of cork or synthetic material, with a simple gesture. A tempting promise, especially for those who aren’t very dexterous or who have mobility issues (such as carpal tunnel syndrome or arthritis…). Fortunately, I fall into both categories.
A clever corkscrew
The Cuisinart 4-in-1 cordless electric corkscrew is part of a series of kitchen appliances powered by a lithium-ion battery, which allows them to be used anywhere without needing a plug. A very practical feature. After all, it would be quite awkward to be at the table, attached to an electric cord while trying to open a bottle in front of guests. Once unboxed, you just need to charge the device for a few minutes, and it’s ready to go. Small and compact, it comes with a foil cutter, a wine aerator, and a vacuum pump with a date indicator. A well-thought-out design!
With just one move (or almost)
Maybe it’s my own clumsiness or that I didn’t fully understand how to use it, but the foil cutter didn’t impress me. That’s okay, it’s not the most important part. Let’s move on to the opening.
