Everyone used to mock me when I bought an apartment in poor condition, being a single mother and divorced, but they didn’t know what I had in mind
A small 4.5 m² kitchen turned into a true fairytale. Before and after photos
Initially, the kitchen was in a disastrous state. Although renovations had already started, we had to replace everything: equipment, flooring, and many other small repairs.
We took this photo while the wall was still connected to the bathroom. The kitchen was in terrible shape: an unusable sink, metal racks for dishes, and Soviet-style tiles. It was clear that the renovations were done during the Soviet era.
Of course, back then, Soviet materials and furniture had a reputation for durability. But it’s hard to imagine that such equipment could last this long today. At that time, the kitchen had a truly outdated appearance.
The room is 4.5 m², which is a very small space. Nevertheless, it was possible to fit a cooktop, a dishwasher, and even a refrigerator. The placement of these installations was very well thought out.
Surprisingly, from this small kitchen, a practical and functional space was created, where any housewife would enjoy cooking. Although there are a few minor imperfections, such as the abundance of magnets on the refrigerator and the silver tape dividing the space, these details don’t detract from the final result.
