To prove this, we decided to renovate my grandmother’s old buffet. When I found it in the attic and shared it with my followers on social media, the opinions were divided. Many were hesitant about painting it, fearing it might get damaged.
However, certain steps are crucial for achieving a flawless result. If neglected, stains, cracks, or peeling paint may appear over time. Since the buffet was very old, we needed to be careful when applying a finish without staining the surface.
The paint was applied in several layers: four in total to cover the dark base with a light shade. Each layer was carefully dried before applying the next, ensuring an even and durable finish.
The process required patience and great attention, but the final result was totally worth the effort. Once the cabinet was finished, I couldn’t believe my eyes: it was no longer my grandmother’s old piece of furniture, but a modern and elegant piece that fit perfectly into our home.
A real transformation project!
