I dared to take risks and completely transformed my uninviting little kitchen
Today’s story is about how I revamped my unattractive little kitchen beyond all expectations. With a limited budget and few opportunities for a radical renovation, I opted for minor changes that gave the space a fresher look.
Initially, the upper cabinets were haphazardly hung, but in the new version, I chose to remove them. There was a slight issue: the upper row of tiles was insufficient. Fortunately, there were tiles behind the refrigerator that were not visible
My patient father agreed to my somewhat crazy idea of carefully removing the tiles behind the refrigerator and reusing them. We ended up taking out even more tiles than necessary. Unfortunately, I damaged one tile by soaking it in water to remove leftover adhesive.
Additionally, we simply leveled the walls, first with a regular plaster, then with a finishing plaster. Afterwards, I painted the walls white. For the radiator, I used shiny black spray paint from the KUDO brand. I tried several brands during these improvements.
In the end, KUDO became my favorite. It’s worth mentioning that I’m the only one who is so relaxed about these little details. The uneven walls don’t bother me at all. I believe the most important thing is that there’s a soul in this house.
We easily ordered the entire kitchen from a local furniture manufacturer.
